After 15 seasons, there’s still life left in “Supernatural.”

The May 25 DVD and Blu-ray releases of both the 15th and final season and “Supernatural: The Complete Series” feature several deleted scenes, never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage and a new gag reel, and Variety exclusively obtained one of the former.

In the scene from the final season episode entitled “Our Father, Who Aren’t in Heaven,” Castiel (Misha Collins) needs to persuade Donatello (guest star Keith Szarabajka) to help Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles), and he does so by reminding the prophet of how he gets through all quandaries — by asking “What would Mister Rogers do?”

Spanning more than 300 episodes, “Supernatural” ran from 2005 to 2020, first on the WB network and then on its predecessor The CW, and chronicled the lives of two brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester, who followed in their father’s footsteps as hunters who fight the evil, supernatural beings that ravage the earth. During the 15 seasons their monster-hunt-of-the-week series expanded to include deep mythology about demons, angels and God himself (Rob Benedict).

When the series came to a close last November, the finale episode garnered 1.4 million total live viewers, marking the show’s largest audience since April 2019 and just beating its previous final season high of 1.3 million viewers. Early on in the show’s run it earned three Emmy nominations: for sound editing in 2006 and 2008 and for music composition in 2006.
